AlgaeOff granular algaecide is designed to remove string algae with direct contact on the algae.
Works great for waterfalls, pond-free or pondless systems, or fountains!
Use it during pond cleanings to remove excess algae on pond sides while the water is drained.
For ponds, we recommend using Remove Away Plus.

I’ve been using algae off for years, it has always done a great job.

Not always effective

My case may be unique, but my waterfall/stream completely drains on the upper level but retains a couple of inches of water on the bottom level. So some algae has good contact and some doesn’t, so I never get all of the algae killed; it always grows right back even when I also treat with the liquid D-solv

Thanks for your feedback! AlgaeOff definitely needs contact with algae to work, so that makes sense that it doesn't work on the algae that's still covered in a bit of water.
