Pond-free Waterfall Maintenance
Taking care of a Pond-Free Waterfall is super low-maintenance.
Here are some tips to keep it that way:
Keep Debris Off the Basin
The basin is where the pump sits. Make sure there is no debris covering the rock (or mixed in with the rock) on top of the basin. A debris covered basin will cause water to run off and the pump could be starved for water and damaged.
Add Water As Necessary
In times of low rain fall, make sure to add water to your water feature. Again, we want to keep that pump fully submerged to keep it cool and make it last as long as possible.
Algae Issues?
Algae doesn't need to be a problem. You have choices when it comes to keeping algae at bay:
1. Put your waterfall on a timer -- If your waterfall dries out for a while each day, the algae won't grow. In our display gardens, our Pond-Free waterfalls all go off at night.
2. Your second option is to add Algae d-Solv regularly to keep algae from growing. You can also sprinkle some Algae Off on any algae as it pops up. Check these products out below!
