Each plant can spread leaves across 6' of your pond. Although tropical lilies are \u003cem\u003eannuals\u003c\/em\u003e (you'll have to throw them out at the end of fall), their variety and frequency of blossoms will have you coming back for more every spring. Standing tall out of the water, the tropical water lily bloom is more vibrant than its cousin the \u003cem\u003ehardy\u003c\/em\u003e water lily which most ponds have. And some tropical water lilies are fragrant!\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eOptimal planting depth for tropical water lilies is 6\" -12\". They love heat.\u003cbr\u003eWater temperature should be consistently 70 degrees or warmer for tropical water lilies.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOur tropical water lilies are sold bare root.  For best blooming, we recommend planting them in \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/coolpondsonline.net\/collections\/fish-and-plant-accessories\/products\/fabric-plant-pots?variant=1145315912\"\u003efabric pots\u003c\/a\u003e with aquatic soil or pea gravel so that you can add \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/coolpondsonline.net\/collections\/fish-and-plant-accessories\/products\/aquatic-plant-fertilizer-stake\"\u003efertilizer\u003c\/a\u003e.
